Golden Cubes 1x1m

Gold is synonymous to my Chinese heritage, where it is the symbol of wealth, prosperity and light. It felt only right to use gold paint to create this piece.
 
Although it may seem like 3 different shades of gold, in reality only one shade of gold paint was used. This illusion is created by painting brush strokes in different directions, thus allowing light to reflect off the painting at different angles. When presented near the sun, ‘Golden Cubes’ is a visual experience that changes throughout the day.
